What to watch before Avengers: Doomsday
Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 18, 2026. This is the short list of MCU films and series worth catching up on first, in the order to watch them.
There are no official prerequisites for Avengers: Doomsday. This list is editorial: it follows the confirmed cast and the franchise's own sequencing, not anything Marvel has said about the plot.
Watch order
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- The Avengers
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Avengers: Endgame
- Loki
- Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
- Spiderman: No Way Home
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
- Deadpool & Wolverine
- Captain America: Brave New World
- Thunderbolts*
- The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The titles follow Disney+'s official "Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday" collection. That collection also includes the original X-Men films (2000) and X2 (2003), because former Fox cast members return; this site does not cover them.
