MCU Movies in Order

Every one of the 40 Marvel Studios films, ordered two ways. Release order is how the story was told. Chronological order is how the story happened. Pick one and start watching.

Which order should you watch in?

Release order — start here

Reveals, cameos and post-credits scenes were all built for this order, and each film assumes you have seen the ones before it. If this is a first run through the MCU, use it.

Chronological order — for a rewatch

This puts the 1940s, the 1990s and the Blip back in sequence, which makes the wider history far clearer. It also spoils a few surprises early, so save it for a second run.
